Ngeleja’s costly options

The Tanzania Citizen "Dar es Salaam. Energy and Minerals minister William Ngeleja will today table his revised budget in Dodoma amidst high expectations of an immediate solution to power rationing.Some commentators have cautioned, however, that this is unrealistic and Tanzanians should be thinking of December as the earliest that the power blues can be fixed.
The academicians, business leaders and politicians say that a long-term solution to the power outages that have hit the country since 2006 cannot, under the prevailing circumstances, be attained before 2015."

Nyasa Times "Minister of Women and Child Development Kate Kainja-Kaluluma has passed away in United Kingdom. “Indeed Hon Kate Kainja Kaluluma has died,” confirmed family friends in London. The 57-year-old minister was admitted to a North England hospital – York Hospital. Diplomatic sources at Malawi High Commission in London have said arrangements are being made to send her remains to Malawi. afrol News - Huge diamonds found in DRC : "A Canadian mineral exploration firm, Mexivada Mining Corp, has reported the discovery of two large diamonds in its 100% controlled Malambani Permis de Recherche concession, located near Mayoko in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Mexivada described the first stone as a white, modified octahedron 7.5 milimetres in diameter while the second stone was a shiny 6 milimetre greenish-white coloured dodecahedral diamond. Each of them weighs 0.1 gram"
