The government attempted to put a brave face to the apparent snub of Kenya by U.S. president Barack Obama in his forthcoming debut tour of Africa arguing that since Kenya had not invited the U.S. president, then it cannot be concluded that he has snubbed the country. Foreign affairs minister Moses Wetungula told parliament that Kenya had no control of president Obamas itinerary.
