International pressure is mounting on Zimbabwe. Gordon Brown, the British prime minister, has said the UK will toughen sanctions against members of the Zimbabwean government.
This includes travel bans and a freeze on assets of named members of the regime.
Zimbabwe's cricket team are also banned from touring the UK next year.

The World Cup football tournament kicks off in one week, and host South Africa is busy putting on the finishing touches. But not everyone is looking forward to the tournament.
