Southern African leaders have been urged to put pressure on Robert Mugabe at the start of an emergency summit on the Zimbabwe election crisis in Zambia. The Zimbabwean president himself snubbed the meeting and refused to travel to Lusaka. But he did hold his first talks with the South Africa president Thabo Mbeki in Harare.
