Petersen pleads not guilty

Daily News: "Najwa Petersen on Wednesday formally pleaded not guilty to the murder of her entertainer husband Taliep.

Taliep was shot in the couple's Athlone, Cape Town, home in December 2006, and his wife is standing trial in the Cape High Court along with three men the state claims she hired to carry out the killing."

His remains arrived Mopa yesterday from the government house, Lokoja after a brief ceremony during which Governor Ibrahim Idris and other senior government officials in the state paid their last respects to the late elder statesman."
