38 die as canoe carrying bride to hubby's home capsizes - 25 bodies buried

NIGERIAN TRIBUNE "WHAT was supposed to be a joyous occasion in Kano State on Monday turned into a tragedy when about 38 members of a bridal train drowned when the boat carrying them capsized on River Badau.

The boat was also carrying the bride, Bilikisu, 18, when it sailed from Bagwai to Badau in Bagwai Local Government Area of the state, a distance of about four kilometres."
