Certainly there has been a lot of talk and speculation, and some genuine excitement, especially among the business community. But almost immediately, we started to get the negative remarks: “He’s just trying to trick us”; “He’s a CIO plant to destroy MDC”; “There’s no way he can win, whatever he does”; “He has no following”; “He’s an opportunist”; “Mugabe has already rigged the election.” etc, etc."
