Well, the violence that's followed the disputed election in Kenya has highlighted the links between politics and ethnicity. Tribal ties don't automatically affect the way people vote - but many people do vote along tribal lines out of loyalty and respect for extended family and links to social groups.
Haru Mutasa reports from the opposition stronghold of Kisumu, where those from minority tribes have been forced from their homes.

Kainja who was Dedza South West Constituency parliamentarian flew to United Kingdom for medical attention after a long-illness. She is survived by a husband, Emanuel Kaluluma and three children."
