Taxis are a disease: Governor Nghaamwa

The Namibian: "OHANGWENA Governor Usko Nghaamwa has blamed the high number of teenage pregnancies in the region on taxi drivers and cuca shops.
'Taxis are a disease,' a visibly upset Nghaamwa told a meeting of traditional and community leaders at Onambutu in the Ohangwena Region on Wednesday.
He said last year close to 18 schoolgirls at Okatope Combined School in Ohangwena got pregnant and many of them were being brought to school by taxis.
Nghaamwa said many schoolgirls who fell pregnant lived near cuca shops.
He said he had seen some schoolgirls riding in taxis to and from cuca shops after midnight."
