Monkey defence 'racist'

IOL: "South Africans of Indian origin have hit out at their Australian counterparts for drawing the revered Hindu god Hanuman into the cricket 'sledging' furore, which saw India cricket player Harbhajan Singh allegedly call Australia's Andrew Symonds a monkey.

They have alleged that India and Indian-origin Australians are using a smokescreen to 'hide their own racism', pointing towards a deeper problem on the sub-continent."
