18 killed in militants, JTF clash

champion newspapers"THE new year started on a tragic note in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital yesterday as the police confirmed the death of 18 people among who were militants who attacked two police stations, a luxury hotel and a night club in the oil city. The victims include four policemen six militants, seven civilians and the hotel security guard.
In his reaction, leader of the Niger Delta Vigilante Group, Ateke Tom claimed responsibility for the attacks."
