Official campaigns start on Monday

The Standard Kenya: "The final whistle goes off this morning for the top three presidential contenders to sprint to the finish line as the electoral body declares the start of the official 21-day campaign period. The main players, President Kibaki (Party of National Unity), ODM’s Mr Raila Odinga and ODM-Kenya’s Mr Kalonzo Musyoka, were yesterday putting the finishing touches on their strategies to make forays into swing areas. The official campaign period, to be announced by the Electoral Commission of Kenya, is expected to trigger off the expected break-neck finish and will be stopped with just three days to December 27."
