Mulago gets Ebola case

Monitor Online (Uganda): "UGANDA's main referral hospital, Mulago has received its first Ebola patient since the deadly viral disease broke out in Bundibugyo District in August. Dr Yonah Kule, an employee of the International Air Ambulance (IAA), who contracted the highly communicable hemorrhagic fever while treating patients at Bundibugyo hospital last week, was admitted at Mulago at the weekend."

Angry customers mob Front Page Micro Finance
FOLLOWING Bank of Uganda's recent warning to the public against depositing money in unlicensed micro-finance outfits, police yesterday arrested three people at FrontPage Microfinance, one of the major such entities in Kampala, over an alleged attempt to destroy property. The suspects were part of a mob of about 800 clients of FrontPage Microfinance.

The enraged clients had decided to besiege the company's headquarters on Wilson Road in Kampala until they were paid their money but later turned violent, destroying the manager's vehicle.
