MDC youths smuggled to summit

The Zimbabwe Herald: "THE opposition MDC has smuggled youths to the European Union-Africa Youth Summit that will precede the summit of state leaders in Lisbon, Portugal, at the weekend as part of its campaign to demonise Zimbabwe. Over the years the MDC has campaigned for the isolation of Zimbabwe and imposition of hurting economic sanctions at international meetings. Recently MDC faction leader Mr Morgan Tsvangirai was in Uganda at the Commonwealth summit where he called for the grouping to help in the Sadc-initiated talks between the opposition and Zanu-PF. "

Kate Kainja passes away

Nyasa Times "Minister of Women and Child Development Kate Kainja-Kaluluma has passed away in United Kingdom. “Indeed Hon Kate Kainja Kaluluma has died,” confirmed family friends in London. The 57-year-old minister was admitted to a North England hospital – York Hospital. Diplomatic sources at Malawi High Commission in London have said arrangements are being made to send her remains to Malawi. Kainja who was Dedza South West Constituency parliamentarian flew to United Kingdom for medical attention after a long-illness. She is survived by a husband, Emanuel Kaluluma and three children."
