Kenya candidates spend Shs 26bn bribing voters

The Weekly ObserverIn a debate on Kenya in the British parliament, on December 4, parliamentary under-secretary in the Department for International Development, Baroness Vadera, said: “….a career in politics is still one of the quickest ways of accumulating wealth” in Kenya.
Lord Oakeshott spoke of “a culture of political and economic patronage as the root of widespread corruption” in Kenya."
