AKUFO ADDO LEADS

Accra Daily Mail : "Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo has emerged as the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for election 2008 after a long voting process at the ongoing extraordinary congress at the Great Hall of the University of Ghana, Legon.
He won by a margin of 47.965%. By the party's constitution a winner should garner 50 per cent votes.
However, his closest contestant, Alan Kyerematen, who had over 32% conceded defeat for the 'sake of unity.'
All the aspirants have declared their unflinching support for the new flagbearer-elect."
