Trainees panic as hailstorm floods campus

Nyasa Times "Hell broke lose in the early hours of Wednesday when rainwater flooded hostels at Baka Training Centre in Karonga district putting under heavy panic about 21 health surveillance assistants.
Reports say the area had been receiving heavy rains on Tuesday, which resulted in the area getting flooded.
Principal Training Officer at the Centre a Mr. Msowoya refused to speak to Nyasa Times when called but one of the affected trainees, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed the development.
He said the incident happened at around 02.00 am when they realised that the hostel was under water."
