Step-dad shoots matriculant, family

Sowetan "KwaZulu-Natal matriculant Hlengiwe Msomi was one of thousands anxiously awaiting her matric results - but she never even got to read the morning paper.
Her angry step-father last night shot dead her 44-year-old mother Makhosi, her grandmother Virginia Msomi and then turned the gun on her and three other children at a home in Sigananda Road, Inanda.
The home belonged to the deceased grandmother.
Makhosi’s sister, 48-year-old Bongi Msomi spoke to Sapa today and said that three of the teenagers were in fact cousins and not sisters."
