Blackout Looms as Power Projects are Stalled

THISDAY ONLINE: "There are very strong indications that the state of emergency on power proposed to be declared by President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua has been “brought in dead”.
During his campaign and on assumption of office, Yar’Adua had vowed to declare a state of emergency on power but the promise may be the most difficult to deliver.
From the outset of this administration, some steps that were taken by the Federal Government have put large question marks on the much-touted state of emergency.
No additional power is being generated for now and no new project is going on.".........
