No ties with Makoni: MDC

The Herald: "ZIMBABWE’S fractured opposition is now certain to field several presidential candidates after MDC faction leader Mr Morgan Tsvangirai yesterday ruled out any ties with Dr Simba Makoni.

He said the former finance minister had no mandate from the people and accused the presidential hopeful of belonging to a Zanu-PF faction.

Speaking for the first time since Dr Makoni made public his presidential ambitions last week, Mr Tsvangirai said there were fundamental differences between them."
