Police Dislodge Civil Servants' Strike, Arrest Leader

The Post Online (Cameroon): "A civil servants' strike that was planned to disrupt a National Assembly session on Wednesday, November 28, was dislodged by armed police in front of Parliament House."The crowd of trade unionists that had gathered at the Military Stadium across from the "Glass House" and who were chanting "Les Salaire" and blowing whistles had intended to put pressure on MPs to include the revision of salaries slashed several years ago on their agenda in the ongoing budgetary session.
